My advice about weddings:
If I had to do it all over again, I WOULDN'T. No big irksome wedding. Wayyyyy too much stress and inner politics. ELOPE, DEAR JESS, WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!
Run off with your Sweetie by yourselves and get married quietly on some riverboat or moonlit paradise.
All that traditional ceremonial hoopla is just one big pain in the behind, in my humble opinion.
