I want to respond, but I'm having an embarrassing amount of trouble remembering any specific scenes at all past the first book. (and after so many hours of highschool spent reading them, too.) I remember really liking the bit in the Aiel Waste, though. In The Shadow Rising, possibly. When Rand went on a journey through a dreamland filled with bridges and tall buildings? I could be randomly inserting some Robin Hobb into here. That would not be a good combination. (WoT by Robin Hobb: Everyone Rand has ever cared about dies of the plague within the first book, which means he gets to angst about his sad fate for the next two books. At the end of which his dog, who's been his sole companion throughout his grief, dies of the plague too. The end.) I wouldn't have remembered where that scene with Elayne was from. But I remember that was a neat scene. -Anjali
: Also, I own no copies of WoT, except for The Eye of the World, so trying to find this out on my own would involve a long time chasing down the different volumes in the different branches of my local library, and then paging through them. : Um, so, to get to my problem, it is that I remember a scene somewhere in WoT that I really enjoyed and would like to reread, only I don't remember which book it's in. It's the scene in that city ... somewhere near the ocean ... after Egwene has raised Elayne and Nynaeve to being full Aes Sedai, and (sometime after leaving Saldara) they're in a room with a bunch of other Aes Sedai who are bossing them around, and Elayne realises that she ought to be the highest ranking Sedai because of their "complex" system of power level and time spent as novice and accepted and whatnot, so she gets pissed off and actually stands up for herself, and the other Aes Sedai start toeing the line. I think this happens shortly before Nynaeve finally loses her block. : Any takers? If I could just narrow it down to a book, I'd be pleased. : Also: what scenes do you guys remember fondly? Which books are they from? : Thanks =) *hugs&feet*
