I had no idea "Buttersmack" was a color.

Ahem, anyway.

I started coming around to The Druid's Pacific Pages website, BBS And chat room back in the spring of 1997. I recall the first people I actually chatted with were some young man from Alaska calling himself The Mutt, Ainvar aka Nico and Stonebow, who was currently attending University in Pennsylvania.
I've seen a lot of people come and go, and return again. I have had crushes on some of them, liked and seriously enjoyed most of them, miss many of those who left, some before I could actually get to know them.

Todd aka Shadowkiller made me an admin when he carried on after The Druid shut his site down. That meant I got to carry the boot stick and Ban Hammer. It was really a pain though as I think that I'm really way too easy going to insist everyone live up to the rules.
So mostly I tried to reserve it for the ones that were obvious jerks and trouble makers.

I remember we had ICQ chats. Those were a lot of fun as well. I wonder if ICQ still does IRC style chats anymore. I still have ICQ but never see anyone that was on my list online anymore, or remember who the heck they were in the first place. Sad that ICQ got taken over by America Online IMO.

For the longest time I was never bonded as a Warder to anyone. Then a young lady using the handle of Birgitte Silverbow asked if she could be bonded as my warder. As far as I know I was the first male to have a female warder, even before Jordan came up with the idea. Later for a time I was bonded to Lauren as one of her many warders. Good times were had by all. ; )

Inspired by Bair and others I restarted school a couple years ago, working toward a degree in History. I'm almost done with the Community College part of it and about ready to transfer over to a 4 year University. Probably one of the Cal State Universities which have several campuses in my area.

What Dreadagorn and Nico described as to where they are heading with their education sounds interesting. I may want to look into some of it. Like patrick, I doubt I'll be studying Greek or Latin anytime soon, although those would be good languages to study.

When I'm not at school or studying I'm usually playing World of Warcraft. I have a level 70 Rogue and a level 70 warrior over on Alexstraza. Feel free to look me up some time. Oh, the Rogue's name is Angerwine, that is my main.

I don't come here as often as I used to, but I still like to check in the chat and board from time to time and see how folks are doing.

I'm still a fan of The Wheel of Time and look forward to the next and hopefully last book when it comes out. It saddens me, as I'm sure it saddens all the rest of you, that Jordan won't actually be writing the last book, but since it will be based on his extensive notes and dictations, it will probably, (hopefully) be a satisfying end.

Sorry for the wall of text.

Bili
